Welcome to West Newton Children's
Center. We encourage you to ask as many
questions as you feel necessary to decide if
our program is right for your family.
We're a private childcare facility for children
ages two years and nine months to five
years. We offer a multi-age classroom
environment (2.9 - 5 year olds) based on
extensive research and our belief that it
creates more opportunities for students to
learn and develop at their own level. We
have also learned that integrating different
ages promotes social development, as older
children engage younger children in various
activities, as well as serve as role models in
different social situations. It is our
experience that students who are given the
opportunity to interact with children at
different developmental levels will
strengthen their own cognitive skills and
reach their potential at their own pace.
Our preschool program runs during the
morning hours. We also offer an extended
day program that includes a variety of
enriching, educational and exciting activities.

Our Staff
Our staff is experienced, educated, caring
and very enthusiastic about the impact they
have on the children. They treat each child
with compassion and respect and celebrate
each child's accomplishments, big and small.
Our teachers are OCCS, CPR and first aid
certified. Our staff works to help our
students reach their own potential in all
developmental areas.
Parent Involvement
We welcome parents to visit our Center to
share a special talent, read a story or
participate in a special project. We also
enjoy learning about different cultures and
occupations. We invite parents to visit and
share their knowledge in these areas.
A Spacious and Sunny Environment

spacious, bright, warm and inviting
classrooms that are open to one another
creating a wonderful multi-age environment
with a variety of exciting and challenging
activities. We have a lovely outdoor play
area, equipped with swings, climbing
structure, slide, sandbox and lots of fun,
outdoor activities.

Welcome
School Hours:
We’re open Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.
m. (January – December)
Preschool Program Hours: 9:00 a.m. -
1:00 p.m.
Your child may attend 2, 3, 4 or 5 days per week.
Your child may end his/her day at 12:00 p.m. or
1:00 p.m. At 1:00 p.m. our extended day
program begins. You may choose to extend your
child's day by the half hour up to 5:30 p.m.
Between 1:00 and 5:30 p.m. our program includes
circle time, individual and group lessons with
classroom materials, art projects, free play,
reading, tumbling, lots of outdoor play, snack
time and rest time.

enrollment for those children who turn 2.9
