Policies
Parent Participation Policy
We welcome parents to visit their child's classroom to participate in a special
project, share a special talent or read a special book.  We also welcome parents to
share information about different cultures and occupations.
We believe that ongoing communication with our families is important.  We
encourage parents to contact us throughout the year with any questions regarding
our program or your child.

Parent Conferences
Parent Conferences are held twice a year.  The conferences are a wonderful
opportunity for teachers to share information about your child's progress in all
developmental areas.  This is also a time to become better acquainted with our
curriculum and to ask any questions regarding your child or our program.

Toileting
Children still in the process of toilet training will be encouraged to do so in a
positive and supportive manner.  Training will be done in conjunction with parents
in a manner that is consistent with the child's physical and emotional abilities.
Children requiring diapers or pull-ups must provide the school with diapers and
wipes that will be kept in the diapering area at school.  These items will only be
used by your child.

Lunch and snacks
Due to various food allergies, we ask that you provide your child with 1-2 healthy
snacks per day along with a lunch.   We are happy to heat food items if necessary.
We encourage parents to provide nutritious lunches; eliminating foods that contains
excess sugar.

Severe Weather
School closings may be necessary in the event of inclement weather that could
jeopardize the safety of our families and staff.

Birthday Celebrations
Each child will be celebrated in or around their special day by wearing (if they
choose to do so) a special birthday crown made especially for your child by his or
her teacher.  The child will also have their body traced on a large piece of paper to
be colored and decorated by your child and his/her classmates.
